Many of us felt untouchable in the 2010s due to the shortage of engineers basically worldwide. We never saw the bad times in our lives and when they came, they ran over us like a train.
I can definitely attest that no-one is irreplaceable. We like to think that, but companies adapt and persevere. Soon thereafter, everyone forgets you were even there.
Great advice here is to optimize for what gives you the most options in the future. If you burn bridges everywhere you go, or if you stagnate with your knowledge, you will become obsolete and will have a really hard time once the bad times roll in.
